UCM parking lots are for use by students, faculty and staff members, visitors, and other individuals who must conduct business on campus. UCM parking lots are not authorized for use by private businesses, organizations, or individuals not associated with or conducting business on the campus.

UCM assumes no liability for loss or damage to any vehicle parked in UCM parking areas or lots.

Students, faculty, or staff members who own, maintain, or operate motor vehicles on campus are responsible for violations regardless of whether or not the student, faculty, or staff member is in actual possession and/or operating the motor vehicle at the time of the violation.

The responsibility for finding a legal parking space rests with the motor vehicle operator. Lack of space is not an acceptable excuse for violation of any parking regulation.

The speed limit on all UCM property is 15 miles per hour.

Enforcement of displaying a valid parking permit in all UCM parking lots begins on the first day of classes of each semester.

Individuals who leave persons and/or pets unattended in vehicles parked on UCM property may be prosecuted in accordance with city ordinance or state law.

UCM maintains parking lots for the convenience of faculty, staff, students, and visitors. All lots are under the supervision of the Department of Public Safety. Any posting of information in the lots and on individual cars must pertain to Public Safety issues. Individuals, organizations, and businesses cannot place information or advertising in the lots or on individual cars. Pursuant to the Campus Posting Procedure, UCM sponsored bulletin boards or advertising in the Muleskinner is available for those purposes.
