Upon graduation and completion of all degree requirements all students receive a diploma. The cost of this diploma is included in the graduation fee billed to students during their last semester. Diplomas include the degree earned, major(s), and academic honors (if applicable). Diplomas do not include minors. If the student earned a double degree (not double major), they will receive a diploma for each degree. Students earning a double major will receive one diploma. Diplomas are printed on 8 1/2 by 11 paper and are portrait style. UCM does not keep a copy of student diplomas on file. The student is issued the only copy.
Your Name on Your Diploma
Your first and last names on your diploma must match your official name on your university records. For your middle name, you may choose to include your full middle name, your middle initial, or no middle name. You may also include suffixes on your diploma, such as Jr., Sr., II, etc. Any changes to your diploma name must be made at least 60 days before graduation.

Diplomas will be mailed approximately 5 to 7 weeks after the graduation ceremony to the diploma address on file in the Registrar's Office. The address indicated must be good for that time frame. Diplomas will not be forwarded by the Post Office. This address is only used to mail your diploma. If you update your primary/local mailing address it will not change your diploma address.
To make changes to your diploma mailing address, email the Office of the Registrar. You must specify a diploma address change. If you move to an address other than the one on file in the Registrar's Office and fail to notify the Registrar's Office, we cannot guarantee you will receive your diploma. A fee is required before a duplicate diploma will be ordered.
If your diploma is damaged in mailing please contact your local Post Office. A fee is required before a replacement can be ordered.
The University does not have a copy of your diploma on file. If you find an error on your diploma, you have up to one year to report this to the Registrar's Office and request a free replacement diploma. Before a replacement diploma may be ordered, the original diploma must be returned to the UCM Registrar's Office. All other requests for replacement diplomas are considered a special order and cost $25.00 per diploma. There are no express services available for diplomas. Replacement diplomas may only be requested by and issued to the graduate. Replacement diplomas take approximately four to five weeks to arrive.
Replacement diplomas will have the name of the university as "University of Central Missouri" unless the request indicates the student attended UCM when we were named Central Missouri State University and would prefer a replacement diploma with the old school name.
