Rotimi Akinbohun, Ph.D, FCMI, MCSE
Logistics/Supply Management/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
Dr. Akinbohun Rotimi, is a Nigerian by birth. He came to the United States to further his education and in the process he enlisted in the United States Army in June 1996 with a logistics job. He attended BASIC training in Fort Knox, Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in Fort Lee and his first assignment was 10th Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. In 1998 he re-enlisted and was re-assigned to Headquarter 513th Military Intelligence Brigade, Fort Gordon, GA, where he served for three years as a Supply Sergeant and Squad Leader. Again, in 2001, Dr. Akinbohun re-enlisted and was re-assigned to Headquarter, United States Army Garrison (USAG), Fort Detrick, Frederick, MD, where he also served for about four years as a Supply Sergeant. In order for him to further his education by completing his Masters Degree program, in March 2004, Dr. Akinbohun separated from the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge. Afterward, in March 2005, at the completion of his Masters Degree in Information Technology Management, he was employed as an Army Civilian by the Department of the Army to perform the duties of logistics and supply management. While working for the Army ROTC UCMO, in July 2005, Dr. Akinbohun embarked on a Doctorate Degree in Management with a concentration in Organizational Development and Change from Colorado Technical University and graduated in June of 2008.
His awards and decorations during his active army career in the U.S. Army include Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award); Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award); National Defense Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon and Army Service Ribbon.
His military and civilian education includes Unit Supply Specialist Course; Unit Level Logistics Course; Primary Leadership Development Course; Information Assurance Security Officer Certification Course; RFID Applications Management Course; RFID Technology and Business Applications Course; Project Management Course and Cadet Command Logistics Course. His civilian certifications and degrees include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA); CompTIA A+ Certified Professional; CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional and CompTIA Project+ Certified Professional. He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management from Aspen University, Denver, Colorado and Doctorate Degree in Management from Colorado Technical University, Colorado Spring, Colorado. He is a professional fellow member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), London; professional member of Institute of Analysts & Programmers (MIAP), London; the Institute for Supply Management (U.S.); Production and Operations Management Society (U.S.); the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (London), and American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
Dr. Akinbohun is married to Patricia Akinbohun and they have one son named Jeremiah.
