Army ROTC Scholarships

Army ROTC Scholarship Programs provide financial assistance for the education and training of motivated young men and women who desire to serve as Army officers after graduation from college.

If awarded a scholarship, the Army will pay your full tuition, provide $1,200 a year for books and lab fees, and provide a $300 to $500 stipend while school is in session.

Types of Scholarships 

Four Year National Scholarship

UCM Army ROTC awards several four-year scholarships to students each year, based solely on merit. Qualify, and you could receive a full scholarship for tuition and educational fees, plus money for books and a monthly allowance to help cover the day-to-day costs of college.

Advanced Designee. If you apply for the four-year scholarship and are not selected, you may be awarded a three-year scholarship instead. This is called a Three Year Advanced Designee Scholarship and begins at the beginning of your sophomore year. 

Campus Based Scholarships

You may also apply for a 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 or 4-year ROTC Campus Based scholarship in the ROTC department. In order to be eligible you must apply for the two-year scholarship during your sophomore year, and the 3 or 4-year scholarship during your freshman year.


If you apply for this scholarship during your sophomore year on campus, you must have completed the first two years of ROTC or completed Army Basic Training, or agree to complete the leader's training course (LTC).


Leader's Training Course (LTC)

If qualified, you attend ROTC LTC at Fort Knox, Kentucky for four weeks, get paid $800, all expenses paid (travel, food, lodging). While at LTC you will receive training in a variety of leadership positions and military skills. To be eligible for this program you must be in sophomore status with 4 semesters of full time study remaining before graduation., ask Captain Shaun Edwards about this opportunity.

Other Opportunities 

 

Room & Board Scholarships

All contracted cadets that reside in University housing may be eligible for up to four semesters of full room and board scholarships.

 

Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarship

Pays up to $10,000 per year for Room and Board or Tuition and fees each semester for your Junior and Senior year while serving as an SMP contracted cadet.
