Renewal Criteria for UCM Scholarships Awarded Fall 2012 /sfs/explore/scholarships/images/blank_156.gif

Community College Transfer Student Scholarship

Value: Amount Varies (to be used only for the payment of University tuition, non-resident fees, campus housing, and meal plan costs).

Renewability: Automatically renewed for recipients who earn at least 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester at UCM, remain in good academic standing (not on academic probation), and maintain a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25. The Community College Transfer Student Scholarship may be received for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study.

Midwest Student Exchange Program

Value: 50% of the non-resident portion of the student's fees. Students are responsible for the remaining 50% of the non-resident portion of the fees plus the in-state tuition rate. Cannot be received in conjunction with other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees.

Renewability: Automatically renewed for recipients who earn at least 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester at UCM, remain in good academic standing (not on academic probation), maintain a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 and maintain residency in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota or Wisconsin. Available only to students pursuing their first baccalaureate degree.

Non-Resident Scholar Award

Value: 25%, 50% or 100% of non-resident portion of student’s fees. Cannot be received in conjunction with other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees.

Renewability: Automatically renewed for recipients who earn at least 24 undergraduate credit hours during the first two semesters of full-time attendance at UCM, and successfully complete at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at UCM each semester thereafter; and achieves a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of the second semester as a full-time student at UCM and each semester thereafter. The Non-Resident Scholar Award may be received for a maximum of eight (8) semesters of undergraduate study at UCM.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Value: $500 per semester (to be used only for the payment of University tuition, non-resident fees, campus housing, and meal plan costs).

Renewability: Automatically renewed for recipients who earn at least 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester at UCM, remain in good academic standing (not on academic probation), and maintain a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship may be received for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study at UCM.

Red & Black Scholarship

Value: Amount Varies (to be used only for the payment of University tuition, non-resident fees, campus housing, and meal plan costs).

Renewability: Automatically renewed for recipients who earn at least 24 undergraduate credit hours during the first two semesters of full-time attendance at UCM, and successfully complete at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at UCM each semester thereafter; and achieve a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of the second semester as a full-time student at UCM and each semester thereafter. The Red & Black Scholarship may be received for a maximum of eight (8) semesters of undergraduate study at UCM.

Second Generation Grant (First-time Freshmen)

Value: 100% Non-Resident Fees for non-residents of Missouri who are children or grandchildren of UCM alumni (to be used only for payment of non-resident fees). Cannot be received in conjunction with other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees.

Renewability: Automatically renewed for recipients who earn at least 24 undergraduate credit hours during the first two semesters of full-time attendance at UCM, and successfully complete at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at UCM each semester thereafter; and achieves a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of the second semester as a full-time student at UCM and each semester thereafter. The Second Generation Grant may be received for a maximum of eight (8) semesters of undergraduate study at UCM.

Second Generation Grant for Transfers

Value: Covers up to $1000 per semester of non-resident fees for non-residents of Missouri who are children or grandchildren of UCM alumni (to be used only for payment of non-resident fees). Cannot be received in conjunction with other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees.

Renewability: Automatically renewed for recipients who earn at least 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester at UCM, remain in good academic standing (not on academic probation), and maintain a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25. The Second Generation Grant for Transfers may be received for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study at UCM.
