Petition for Reinstatement

Reinstatement is not automatic. Each petition is considered individually, and reinstatement is granted only when it is determined that the student’s academic performance will meet the program, college, and university standards. As a condition of reinstatement, students are required to sign an Academic Reinstatement Agreement outlining conditions that must be met in order to continue as a student at the University of Central Missouri. Reinstatement is designed to assist students to succeed academically at Central.

ESSAY: Please write an essay of no more than 300 words which addresses why your grade point average fell below an acceptable level and other relevant issues which may have prevented you from being successful. It should also speak to the activities, plans and steps you have taken or will take to eliminate problems that previously kept you from academic success and which you feel will lead to improved scholastic performance. Your petition for reinstatement will be based on grammar, structure and content.
