HCSA Committee Charges

Honors College members may contact The Honors College office to sign up for committees.

The Professional Development Committee Chair:
Shall attend all Executive Board and monthly General Body meetings and keep the Executive Board informed of his/her activities and progress. The committee chair shall hold meetings every other week in person with his/her committee and maintain correspondence with his/her committee members. The chair shall be responsible for planning a minimum of two events each semester and for scheduling all professional events. Planning includes but is not limited to reserving rooms, ordering food, and shopping for supplies. Setting up includes transporting materials to the venue, preparing for the event, and cleaning up after the event. The chair shall maintain a binder including updated records and responsibilities to hand down to predecessor.

The Public Relations Chair:
Shall attend all Executive Board and monthly General Body meetings and keep the Executive Board informed of his/her activities and progress. The chair shall coordinate advertising for social, volunteer services and professional development events with The Honors College Office Staff. The chair shall manage all social media in regard to HCSA. The chair shall maintain a binder including updated records and responsibilities to hand down to predecessor.

The Social Committee Chair:
Shall attend all Executive Board and monthly General Body meetings and keep the Executive Board informed of his/her activities and progress. The committee chair shall hold meetings every other week in person with his/her committee and maintain correspondence with his/her committee members. The Volunteer Services Committee Chair:

Honorably Speaking:
The monthly newsletter of The Honors College is always looking for contributors to write articles or columns. Honorably Speaking is the primary vehicle for communicating Honors activities to Honors College members. Monthly submission deadlines will be provided by the Honorably Speaking editor.
