Parents Honor Sons' Athletic Triumph
Building championship teams in a competitive conference requires a strong recruitment program to obtain the best athletes. Mules football comprises 100 athletes. Each year coaches recruit between 25 and 40 new players to the squad. Three-fourths of these are scholarship spots; the remainder are walk-ons. Odds are tough to make the team as a walk-on. Two brothers beat those odds, and now their parents are helping other students follow in their footsteps.
