Just a Little Help from Their Friends
Lois Sherman, a 1951 alumna from Carrollton, MO, is retired from her career as a music educator but far from being retired from life. In addition to her many interests, she maintains a strong relationship with UCM's Department of Music. The former tuba player recently donated $5,000 plus $92 for her age to the Department of Music Scholarship Fund.

Aunt's Dedication Inspires Scholarship
Keith Wright always admired his Aunt Maude. For nearly 50 years, the 1916 CMSTC graduate worked as an educator in small, rural elementary schools. To honor her dedicated career, Wright, an oncologist in Cedar Rapids, IA, has established the D. Maude Wright Scholarship for UCM education majors. He hopes his aunt's accomplishments will inspire the recipients.

Family Fulfills Promise to Honor Beloved Member
Eighteen years ago, Joe Galetti and his family promised to raise $100,000 to endow a scholarship in memory of their daughter and sister, Gina, a UCM student who passed away unexpectedly in 1987. Through personal perseverance and the kindness of others, he has finally achieved that goal.
