Ready to Meet Everyone

I've looked forward to the fall 2010 semester at the University of Central Missouri with great anticipation and excitement about beginning a new chapter in my professional and personal life. My wife, Kris, and our two children, Charlie and Kathryn, are enthusiastic about joining me on this new journey. We appreciate the strong sense of hospitality and welcome since our arrival in Warrensburg. We've particularly enjoyed meeting members of the campus community as well as alumni and friends through events such as the President's Lawn Concert. We are looking forward to new opportunities to engage with you as the year unfolds.

Please take some time to enjoy this online edition of UCM Today. You will discover interesting stories about alumni who not only succeeded in their professions but have also contributed to the success of this campus and to its great history, traditions and values.

You will also get to know me a little better as I share my own story, providing insight into the people who helped shape my life and contributed to my strong belief in the importance of education and my passion for servant leadership.

Just as others cared about me, I know that you have wonderful stories to tell about UCM faculty and staff who were positive influences in your life. As opportunities bring you to campus, I hope you will introduce yourself to me, and I will do the same. I look forward to hearing about what UCM means to you.
