Success Program Learning Community
The learning community is a crucial component to the success of all college freshmen. A sense of community develops through participation in three common courses. These courses consist of a General Supplemental Instruction which is a planned review and study session for your Gen Ed class, and a Learning Strategies course which introduces the strategies needed for success in college. An important part of the learning community is the formation of a family environment that eases the transition from high school to college. The Learning Strategies (1820) classes begin during the four-day Pre-Semester Workshop.
