Welcome! We invite you, your family, and friends to visit the University of Central Missouri and the city of Warrensburg to learn about our campus and student life. Take a campus tour, meet with faculty and students, and learn why over 11,000 students call UCM home.
- Academic appointment- when a prospective student meets with staff or faculty member to discuss a major they may be interested in.
- Admissions appointment- when a prospective student meets with an Admissions Representative to discuss admissions information, student resources, student involvement, housing, financial aid and scholarships, tuition, and answer any general questions you may have about UCM.
What is the difference between an Individual Visit and Group Visit Days?
The individual visit is held Monday through Friday during regular university hours. During an individual visit, prospective students will be scheduled to meet with an Admissions Representative and take a campus tour (lasting 1 hour) with one of our Student Ambassadors. Admissions appointments will be one-on-one; however the tour may include a few families along with you. By request, we can schedule prospective students with an appointment to meet with a representative from their area of academic interest. To schedule a daily visit, please visit the Individual Visit Registration page.
Group visit days are held on throughout each semester. They are held in a large group format. During most group visit days, prospective students will attend sessions on admissions and financial aid, scholarships, academic areas of interest, and take a campus tour. To schedule a time to visit during one of the group visit days, please go to the Group Visit Day Registration page.
How long is the campus tour?
The campus tour is an hour long walking tour of campus and showcases a residence hall room, a dining facility, the Student Recreation & Wellness Center, the JC Kirkpatrick Library, and the Elliott Student Union.
I have special needs. Who do I alert about my visit and any arrangements I may need?
Please contact the Campus Visit Office at 660-543-8569 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange any special needs you may need accommodated during your time on campus.
Is an individual visit considered orientation?
Scheduling a daily visit is NOT considered attending an orientation. A daily visit is for prospective students or those students that have been admitted but may still be deciding if UCM is for them. For more information about orientation go to the orientation & enrollment website.
How do I get information about financial aid or housing?
During your daily visit, financial aid, scholarship, as well as housing information are all covered by the Admissions Representative.
Do you offer Saturday visits?
Individual visits are offered Monday-Friday. We are able to accommodate tours on most Saturdays at 12:00, however the visit will only consist of a campus tour. If you would like to meet with an Admissions Representative or an Academic Representative this is not be available on a Saturday. To schedule a Saturday tour please call the Campus Visit Office at 660-543-8569.
We look forward to you visiting our campus soon! More questions, contact the Campus Visit Office at 660-543-8569 or 877-SAY-UCMO.
