EXPLOSIVES AND WEAPONS

Responsibility: Department of Public Safety
Possession or use of explosives or weapons on all University of Central Missouri property, including main campus (including classroom demonstrations), airport, farm, parking lots and all residences is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, all forms of firearms, pellet guns, BB guns, or any mechanical or gas operated mechanism that propels a projectile, ammunition, fireworks and knives with any blade more than four (4) inches in length, throwing stars, blackjacks, brass knuckles, daggers or any weapon that may be used in the martial arts (e.g. nunchaku).
Registration may be obtained from the Department of Public Safety to transport firearms to and from the Humphrey’s firearms range. In addition, exceptions to this procedure may be granted, in writing, if it is determined by the director of public safety that a particular demonstration or activity is in furtherance of the university’s mission.
