Admissions Process for Military and Veteran Students

The first step in becoming a student at UCM is to complete the Application for Admission. Contact the Office of Admissions to learn more about the admissions process.

The second step in the admissions process is to apply for and discuss your eligibility for military or veteran benefits. Please contact:

The third step in the admissions process it to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For personal assistance in applying for and understanding this process, please contact:

Once you receive notification from the Office of Admissions that your Application for Admission has been approved, contact your academic advisor for your degree program. This information will be included in your welcome packet from the Office of Admissions.

The third step is to request all transcripts from higher education institutions, DD-214 and other appropriate official documentation is sent directly to UCM Office of Admissions.

Military Transcripts

AARTS transcripts are available to members of the regular Army, Army National Guard, veterans and the Army Reserve, as well as Warrant Officers.  SMART transcripts are available to active-duty navy and Reserve personnel, as well as veterans.  Personal and official copies are provided to service members at no charge, but must be ordered from the appropriate operations center.  Be sure to have your official copy sent to the university to have your military training reviewed for college credit.

Veterans Not Qualifying for AARTS or SMART Transcripts:
Submit copy of DD-214 – Armed Forces of the United States Report of Transfer or Discharge form.  Submit the DD-214 with supporting military records and documentation (certificates of completion and diplomas) to Admissions.  To obtain copy of DD-214:
