This class introduces core vocabulary and functional communication skills to allow for an exchange of basic information in a culturally appropriate way. It will provide you with the ability to introduce yourself, exchange personal information, talk about your surroundings, tell where you live, and talk about your family and activities. It will allow you to develop conversational skills in confirming and correcting information, express degrees of uncertainty, and provide you with the means to ask for clarification and repetition. Global Positioning System (GPS) is a navigation tool which allows users to determine their location anywhere in the world at any time of the day. GPS uses a network of 24 satellites to establish the position of individual users. Originally developed by the military, GPS is now widely utilized by commercial organizations.
