Enrollment Validation Policy
Posted: 1/4/2013 - To avoid being administratively dropped from your classes, you must validate enrollment in each class in one of the following two ways: Attend each class on the first day the class is scheduled to meet or if you are unable to attend on the first day, you must contact each class instructor prior to the first class day to indicate your intention to continue enrollment. Notify your instructor by email. Contact information for instructors can be found at http://www.ucmo.edu/search/
The enrollment validation procedure does not apply to online/hybrid classes, any classes beginning after January 15th, weekend classes, or second 1/2 semester classes. If you do not plan to attend, go to the student portal to officially drop the class. If you fail to drop the class, you will be held financially responsible for the class and will receive a grade of “F” even if you do not attend the class.
This procedure is heavily dependent upon communication between students and faculty. Therefore it is critically important that you check your UCMO student email account often during the week before classes begin and during the first several weeks of the semester.
DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR INSTRUCTOR HAS REPORTED YOUR ABSENCE. ENROLLMENT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT. IF YOU FAIL TO DROP THE CLASS, YOU WILL BE HELD FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLASS AND WILL RECEIVE A GRADE OF “F”, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND THE CLASS.
