New federal requirement for new UCM students
Posted: 1/22/2014 - At UCM, any student who is NEW to our university this Spring 2014 semester must complete either AlcoholEdu for College or Haven to fulfill the new federal mandate. Both programs are currently available on every UCM student’s MyCentral page, however this requirement applies ONLY to students who are new to UCM this semester.
New first time freshmen under the age of 24 should complete the AlcoholEdu for College program, which now contains a gender violence prevention module. All other new students (transfers, non-traditional first year students, new graduate students, new online only students, etc.) should complete the Haven Gender Violence Prevention Program.
Due to the federal mandate, Part 1 and the Exam must be completed by February 14th to avoid an academic hold.
