UCM Hosts Affordable Care Act--Health Insurance (Obamacare) Enrollment Fair
Posted: 2/7/2014 - In cooperation with community partners, the University of Central Missouri will host the Affordable Health Care Act – Health Insurance Enrollment Fair 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at the James C. Kirkpatrick Library. The fair is free and open to the local community.
One important goal for the fair is to help people understand their new insurance options under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. In compliance with federal law, most Americans will be required to obtain insurance this year. The law offers government programs or subsidized private policies for many people with low to moderate incomes.
See the news release for more information, including items to bring with you to the fair. Anyone who plans to attend should RSVP to Michelle Taylor, UCM Office of Human Resources, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
