LGBTQ Group offered through the Counseling Center

Posted: 2/14/2014 - This group will present an opportunity for LGBTQ individuals to explore life challenges. It will provide a safe environment in which to address a variety of issues (e.g., coming out, spirituality, family relationships, identity development etc.). Goals of the group include: reducing isolation, finding support and making changes. Students who want to resolve specific concerns as well as those seeking personal growth are welcome. This can be a good time to get peers’ perspectives on various issues, and to recognize that you are not alone. *Open to the variety of self-defined identities along the gender spectrum

The group will meet on Mondays from 10-11:30am. We plan to offer this group every semester.

The group does require meeting with the facilitators and filling out paperwork prior to joining, so if you are interested or have additional questions, please contact the Counseling Center at (660) 543-4090 to schedule a group screening appointment.
