Through the University of Central Missouri’s Painting emphasis, students develop their creative talents and technical skills. You will learn to use traditional and contemporary forms of expression to develop your own unique visual language, through instruction from highly experienced and practicing faculty and guided hands-on experience in studio classes.

Mr. John Louder received his MFA in Studio Art from the University of Arizona. He teaches studio painting courses at all levels. Louder is drawn to the outdoors and his paintings are inspired by his interests and activities. His persistent studio production and busy exhibition schedule demonstrate to his students the commitment necessary to succeed as an artist.
Students in the Painting program are required to purchase a laptop beginning Fall 2019. More information will be added at a later date.
