Studio Art BFA - Option 5: Illustration

Illustration

Through the University of Central Missouri’s Illustration emphasis, you will  develop your creative talents and technical skills, learning skills to become a professional illustrator. You will master creative problem solving and visual narrative through instruction from highly experienced and practicing faculty and guided hands-on experience in studio classes.

Traditional and Electronic Media

The Illustration program stresses mastery of traditional media in drawing and painting combined with technical skills in digital illustration and 3D media. Students share some courses with Graphic Design majors, allowing them to better understand how the illustrator’s job relates to that of the graphic designer and the teamwork involved in both professions.
