UCM's Automotive Technology Management program prepares students to become leaders in the automotive industry. UCM is one of fewer than 20 universities in the nation and the only one in the state offering this bachelor's degree program. Graduates from this program are in very high demand for well-paying, corporate-level, technical management positions within the automotive/diesel and alternate-fuel/hybrid vehicle industries.  Over 90% of graduates are employed in the field within 6 months of graduation, with an average starting salary of $45,833 (Fall 2013).

There are three concentrations available:

Your hands-on experience with up-to-date technology at UCM will prepare you for a variety of careers, such as:

  • Field service engineer
  • District service/parts manager
  • Sales representative
  • Claims/warranty adjustor
  • Technical trainer
  • Vocational education instructor
  • Technical hotline engineer
  • Mechanical engineering technician

The ATM program at UCM is the only BS degree in automotive in the country that has achieved full accreditation by The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) and certification by The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
