This is a four week course, scheduled for May 14 - June 11.
Quality Matters is a peer review process based on national standards of best practice for online course design. Learning to apply the QM rubric to course design is essential to quality assurance in online education.
This course is the first step in the Quality Matters process whereby students learn how to align the critical course components - Learning Objectives, Assessment and Measurement, Instructional Materials, Learner Interaction and Engagement, and Course Technology - to achieve student learning outcomes. Course Overview and Introduction, Learner Support, and Accessibility are also addressed. In addition, students will learn the review process by applying their knowledge of the rubric to review an existing online course.
If you are new to teaching online or in the process of developing your own course, you will gain new insights and ideas for teaching online. This process supports UCM's commitment to the Higher Learning Commission for quality assurance in online education.
This training will be delivered 100% online via Blackboard.
