Kremer Named Foundation Executive Director
August 2008 - Joe Kremer, assistant vice president for major gifts, has been appointed executive director of the UCM Foundation, following the death of Larry Cowan. Former vice president Paul Page also is returning as the university launches a national search for a new vice president for advancment.
“Paul can step in and handle administrative matters that need attention without the normally attendant start-up time or without taking individuals out of other functions that are critically important to our university. I have every confidence in Joe and believe he will carry the vision that Larry Cowan created,” said UCM President Aaron Podolefsky.
To honor Cowan, the university has announced the establishment of a memorial fund through the UCM Foundation. Gifts will be used to start a scholarship in Cowan's name benefiting UCM students. Individuals interested in making a gift can do so online.
