Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies

Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications for the 2014-2015 academic year must be completed and submitted by March 1, 2014.  Be sure to check below for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.

Name of Scholarship To apply, a student must:
Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies Scholarship
  • be a currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies
L.H. Allen Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in the field of teacher education, business or finance
  • be a graduate of Grain Valley R-5 High School in Grain Valley, MO, and graduated in the upper 15% of high school graduating class
  • be worthy, deserving, of good moral character, and show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of teacher education, business or finance
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in major
CenturyLink University of Central Missouri Scholarship (for incoming freshmen)
  • be a graduating high school senior and be accepted to attend UCM
  • reside within the CenturyLink service area
  • plan to pursue a major within the area(s) of education, science/environment, business/economics, marketing and/or math/computer science
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
CenturyLink University of Central Missouri Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student at UCM, or, be the spouse of a military person
  • be accepted and enrolled at UCM
  • reside within the CenturyLink service area
  • be pursuing a major within the area(s) of education, science/environment, business/economics, marketing and/or math/computer science
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship
  • be a full-time student at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in business
  • be a member in good standing of the Iota Omicron Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of business
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
John and Barbara Erickson Scholarship for International Studies
  • be a full-time junior, senior or graduate student at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in business (preference shall be given to students pursuing a degree in marketing)
  • be accepted in a campus program to study abroad
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of business (minimum GPA of 3.0 in major if a junior or senior student)
Farmers Insurance Group Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing UCM
  • be pursuing a degree within the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies
  • express an interest in the insurance industry
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.25
  • demonstrate evidence of scholarship, leadership and service
  • be interested in continuing education at UCM
Bill Garber College of Business Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in the field of business
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in major
  • have a desire to complete an internship as a part of coursework
  • preference shall be given to applicant(s) demonstrating financial need
James L. Gragg Scholarship in Business
  • be a full-time undergraduate student at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in the field of business
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability
  • preference shall be given to a student indicating a strong interest in data processing
R.J. and Hazel B. Green Scholarship
  • be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior student at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree within the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies
Harmon Business Graduate Scholarship
  • be a full-time student pursuing a masters degree in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies at UCM
  • be in good academic standing
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • show strong leadership, success and service
  • earn a minimum of nine (9) credit hours for each semester (fall/spring) to be eligible to continune to receive the scholarship or be in the last semester of his/her graduate program
  • DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 15
Ginni Koenig Memorial Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in the field of business
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • demonstrate financial need
John W. Lenox Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in business
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of business
  • demonstrate financial need
  • preference shall be given to students from rural Missouri cities with a population less than 25,000
Province Family Business Scholarship
  • be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM (must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours to receive scholarship)
  • be pursuing a degree within the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of business
Lucas Sterne and Albert G. Spaeth Graduate Business Scholarship
  • be a full-time graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a graduate degree within the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies
  • demonstrate good leadership, character and academic ability
  • demonstrate financial need
William G. (Jerry) and Margaret Douglas Tally Scholarship
  • be a full-time senior or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of business
  • be a graduate of a high school in Johnson County, MO or Henry County, MO
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • if an undergraduate student, preference shall be given to student(s) attending UCM throughout undergraduate years; second preference shall be given to student(s) transferring from a local junior college
  • if a graduate student, preference shall be given to student(s) who attended UCM throughout their undergraduate years; second preference shall be given to students that have transferred from a local junior college
