Dr. Nikparvar serves as clinic director in the Marriage and Family Therapy program and is an Instructor in Human Development and Family Science. She is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Kansas and has applied for licensure in Missouri. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family therapy (AAMFT) and National Council on Family Relations (NCFR). Her research interest is qualitative analysis and couples and intimate partner violence.
