Dr. Bonnie K. Slavych, professor of Communication Disorders, earned her Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock, Arkansas. In August 2018, Dr. Slavych joined the University of Central Missouri Speech-Language Pathology faculty where she teaches Voice Disorders, Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Disorders, Adult Swallowing Disorders, Neuroscience, Research Design, and Evidence-Based Practice. Prior to becoming a faculty member, Dr. Slavych served in a variety of settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, psychiatric facilities, as well as preschools and secondary schools. Her research interests include aging in voice, aging in swallowing, and evidence-based practice.
