Mrs. Pyszka taught for three years at Missouri University in Columbia during her Graduate Studies and two years at State Fair Community College. Since the last four years, she has been teaching Spanish and Exploratory Italian classes at Crest Ridge High School.

Her areas of interest include nineteenth and twentieth-centuries Peninsular-Spanish Literature and Afro-Hispanic Literature. In her last eyars of studies, she had become more familiar with Equatorial Guinea Literature and had the opportunity to present a paper, Identidad nacional e identidad individual en la literatura del exilio de Guinea Ecuatorial"as a graduate student to the Transitional Identities: Afro-Hispanic Literature of European exile Conference held at the University of Missouri-Columbia in April 2005.
