UCM Partners to Bring National Endowment for Humanities Chair to Missouri for Historic Speech

Consistent with its role in providing educational programs and opportunities that promote history and culture, the University of Central Missouri College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is co-sponsoring the first visit to Missouri by the Chair of the National Endowment for Humanities (NEH). The history-making keynote speech by NEH Chair Shelly C. Lowe will be presented at Maple Woods Community College, 2601 NE Barry Road, Kansas City, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 as part of a tour giving her an opportunity to learn more about Missouri’s cultural assets and humanities offerings.

Generous $5M Gift Supports Global Vision Endowment Exemplifying UCM's Role in Providing 'Education for Service'

The Global Vision Endowment, a program that has helped engage more than 100 University of Central Missouri students in service to individuals living in impoverished areas around the globe, is receiving a significant financial uplift thanks to a generous $5 million estate gift from an anonymous donor.

Department of Theatre and Dance Welcomes the Upright Citizens Brigade

As part of a High Impact Learning Grant from the University of Central Missouri College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, The Department of Theatre and Dance will host the return of the Upright Citizens Brigade Improv Comedy Touring Troupe to the Nickerson Black Box Theatre for 90-minute show Saturday, March 5.
