Taking his performance into its 19th season of a world tour, Amos transforms himself into his 87-year-old main character who shares the memories of a lifetime with the comet he first saw as an 11-year-old boy. He returns to the mountaintop where he first met the comet, explaining to his old friend that “things have changed since the last time you passed this way.”

He then takes the audience on a whirlwind adventure back in time from the turn of the century through two world wars, romance at a barnyard dance, fast food restaurants, the golden age of radio, the civil rights movement and the joys of childhood.

In addition to his performance, Amos will be on the UCM campus for a two-day residency, during which he will conduct a student workshop.

Amos is well-known as an actor in film and on television. He received an Emmy nomination for his performance in the television mini-series, “Roots,” and has portrayed a variety of main characters in programs such as “Good Times,” “The West Wing,” “All About the Andersons,” “Men in Trees,” “Touched by an Angel,” “The District” and “My Name is Earl.”
