Critically acclaimed as “the Victor Borge of the Guitar” and voted “Best Entertainer in Branson,” Stafford brings his award-winning show, sponsored by KMOS-TV, to Warrensburg for an evening of hilarious antics, heartwarming stories and masterful guitar music. Famous for his million-selling recordings of “Spiders and Snakes,” “Cow Patti,” “Wildwood Weed” and “My Girl Bill,” Stafford satirizes the obvious through music and comedy.

Stafford starred in his own television show in 1975, and co-hosted “Those Amazing Animals” and hosted “Nashville on the Road.” He was a writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and has worked with Joan Rivers, Tina Turner, Sammy Davis Jr., Bruce Springsteen and many others.

In conjunction with his evening performance, Stafford will present a guitar master class, “Breaking into Show Business: Avoiding the Spiders and Snakes,” at 2 p.m. Friday in Hendricks Hall. The class is free and open to music and theatre students.  Call the Performing Arts Series office at 660-543-4263 for more information.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performance are available at the Performing Arts Series box office in Administration 100 from noon-5p.m. weekdays, by calling 660-543-8888, online at, and at the Warrensburg Community Center. Ticket prices start at $18, with children and students admitted for half price.
