Quimby Pipe Organs Series Presents Joseph Nielsen April 16

WARRENSBURG, MO (April 12, 2010) – The UCM Department of Music presents organist Joseph Nielsen in a program of organ music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 16, at the First United Methodist Church of Warrensburg, Gay and College streets.
Nielson’s performance is part of the Quimby Pipe Organs Recital Series at UCM. The program is free and open to the public.
Joseph Nielsen earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Organ Performance and Pedagogy from Brigham Young University in 1998 and a Master of Music Degree in Organ Performance from the University of Kansas in 2002. Since then he has been an organ builder with Quimby Pipe Organs, specializing in woodworking.
A member of the American Institute of Organ Builders, Nielsen lives in Warrensburg with his wife and four children.
The program will be presented on the organ of First United Methodist Church, Warrensburg, recently re-installed, with additions, by Quimby Pipe Organs, Inc. The Quimby Pipe Organs Recital Series is a contribution to the university and community by Michael Quimby.
