UCM Hosts NCAA-II Regional Volleyball Tourney

WARRENSBURG, MO (Nov. 18, 2009) - The UCM Jennies (32-4, MIAA Champions at 18-2) will be the host and No. 1 seed for the NCAA Division II South Central Region Volleyball Tournament this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19-21, at the UCM Multipurpose Building.

An hour and a half prior to each Jennies volleyball game, UCM Alumni Relations will be hosting an alumni and fans pre-game event in the Markey Lobby at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field. Stop by, grab a snack, get some spirit items and enter a drawing to win and UCM goodie basket. A cash bar will be provided.

On Session 2 on Thursday, a 6 p.m.alumni and fans pre-game events is planned in the lobby of the football stadium prior to the 7:30 p.m. game between the No. 1 Jennies and No. 8 Dallas Baptist.

If the Jennies win on Thursday, the will meet the winners of the Emporia/Pittsburg vs. UCM/Dallas Baptist game during the Semifinal 2 game at 8:30 p.m Friday. The alumni and fans pregame begins at 7 p.m. in the stadium lobby.

If the Jennies win on Friday, they will play at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Session 3 for the championship against the winner of semifinal games 1 and 2. Alumni and fans may gather for the pregame celebration in the stadium lobby at 2 p.m.

Thursday (Session 1)
Noon. No. 3 West Texas A&M vs. No. 6 Truman
2:30 p.m. No. 2 Washburn vs. No. 7 Nebraska-Omaha
5 p.m. No. 4 Emporia State vs. No. 5 Pittsburg State
7:30 p.m. No. 1 Central Missouri vs. No. 8 Dallas Baptist

Friday (Session 2)
6 p.m. Semifinal 1 (winners of West Texas/Truman vs. Washburn/Nebraska-Omaha)
8:30 p.m. Semifinal 2 (winners of Emporia/Pittsburg vs. Central Missouri/Dallas Baptist)

Saturday (Session 3)
3:30 p.m. Championship game (winner of semifinal games 1 and 2)

Tickets are on sale immediately and prices are below. To reserve tickets, call 660-543-4063. All-session ticket price is adult $20 and student/youth $ 8 (age 3 to college with ID). Single-session ticket price is adult $8 and student/youth $3 (age 3 to college with ID).
