All UCM faculty, staff and students are invited to the second Campus Master Plan Town Hall meeting planned for 2-4 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in the Lovinger Auditorium.
First Meeting in February Opened Discussion
The first Campus Master Plan Town Hall meeting for faculty, staff and students in February allowed the campus community to learn about strategies to address UCM’s existing and future facilities needs. UCM will host similar opportunities for members of the Warrensburg community in the near future.
Input Needed from Campus Community
“In the fall of 2007, UCM retained Gould Evans Associates of Kansas City to assist with the formulation of a comprehensive Campus Master Plan,” said Betty Roberts, UCM vice president for administration and finance. “During the last several months, the Gould Evans planning team has been gathering statistical information, conducting technical interviews, and reviewing UCM’s facilities in order to develop an understanding of current and future university needs. The team needs the valuable input from the campus community.”

New Master Plan an Important Tool for the Future
The planning process is ongoing, and it is anticipated that a plan for the UCM will be developed later this year. The new Campus Master Plan, when completed, will be an important tool to help guide decisions about capital investment and site development. The plan also will envision improvement of existing facilities, new construction to support contemporary needs, and enhance the living/learning environment at UCM.
