WARRENSBURG, MO (Feb. 7, 2011) – The University of Central Missouri Office of Career Services will host the annual Spring Career Expo from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 1-4 p.m. in the Multipurpose Building Arena. More than 100 employers will be in attendance, representing a variety of career fields.
Students are encouraged to attend “All Day Resume Help” from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, in Elliott Union 302 for one last review of their resumes.
The Career Expo is an ideal opportunity for students to meet professionals in their particular field or major, ask questions, distribute resumes and explore a multitude of career opportunities. All students are encouraged to attend, regardless of class status. Underclassmen will find this event will provide an outlook on the job market. Juniors and seniors, or anyone interested in pursuing full-time employment, internships or summer job opportunities should bring several copies of their resumes. Professional attire is encouraged.
Approximately 30 employers will conduct on-campus interviews Thursday, Feb. 17, the day after the expo. To participate in the interviewing process, students must register with the Office of Career Services prior to Feb, 16. Registration workshops are planned weekly on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., Wednesdays at 1 p.m., and Fridays at 11 a.m. in the Office of Career Services. No appointment is necessary.
