UCM Lee’s Summit Announces Spring Workforce Development Upcoming Courses

The University of Central Missouri’s Lee’s Summit campus recently announced its spring Workforce Development offerings for spring 2020. The spring schedule includes certificate classes designed to help students launch a new career in as little as six weeks.

The university’s Workforce and Professional Education Department is continuing to expand offerings in certificate programs including both face-to-face and online courses. Examples of upcoming courses are listed below with more information about classes available on our website.

Additional face-to-face classes for this school year will be announced soon in high-demand areas such as healthcare, technology, business and safety/manufacturing. Examples of online courses offered through UCM include Paralegal Certificate, Medical Billing, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Information Security Manager, Java Programmer and Python Developer.

Financial aid options are also available for qualifying students with information. UCM sponsors a monthly Professional Training and Education Open House through a partnership with the Full Employment Council. The open house events are designed to help individuals learn how they can qualify for debt-free tuition assistance. Events are held on the last Tuesday of each month from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Missouri Innovation Campus in Lee’s Summit. Upcoming events include Jan. 28 and Feb. 25.

The University of Central Missouri operates campus locations in Warrensburg and Lee’s Summit. UCM’s Workforce Development programs are housed at the university’s Lee’s Summit location in the Missouri Innovation Campus.
