KMOS to Broadcast Stream of School of Visual and Performing Arts Showcase

WARRENSBURG, MO – KMOS-TV, the University of Central Missouri’s public television station, is pleased to stream and broadcast the 2020 video version of the annual showcase of performances from UCM's School of Visual and Performing Arts, hosted by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Phil Bridgmon. It can be viewed on the KMOS website (please ensure that the KMOS logo is in upper right corner of the screen for it to work) - and on KMOS channel 6.1 – Wednesday, Nov. 4 at noon and Saturday, Nov. 7 at 9 p.m.

 

This concert features prerecorded performances by UCM Music faculty. Included will be a performance of Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata in honor of his 250th birthday, a tribute to Charlie Parker in honor of his 100th birthday and John Coltrane, a song by African American composer Florence B. Price, and a newly composed piece commenting on the new normal of pandemic living as well as performances that could only happen virtually.
