KMOS Classroom

WARRENSBURG, MO – Beginning at 8 a.m. June 1, the University of Central Missouri’s  public television station, KMOS-TV, in partnership with UCM’s College of Education will provide three hours of programming focused on K-5 learning with the award-winning “KMOS Classroom: Summer School.” Created in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and school closures that occurred last year, “KMOS Classroom: Summer School” will be broadcast on KMOS channel 6.1 each Monday through Friday from 8-11 a.m.

“KMOS Classroom” uses the expertise of professionals in UCM’s College of Education to design and present lessons in multiple subjects for students in grades K-5. A total of 72 lessons utilizing Missouri state curriculum standards were created by three teachers under the guidance of Dr. Angela Danley, associate professor and undergraduate program coordinator for elementary education, along with Dr. Phil Bridgmon, UCM Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. More information about the lessons and schedule can be found on the station website at www.kmos.org.

Each weekday KMOS will air one lesson for each of grades K-1, 2-3 and 4-5, from June 1 to Aug. 5, 2021. KMOS is available on most cable and satellite systems, and over the air using a UHF antenna.
