Vanderbout Named to CASE District VI Board of Directors

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Feb. 2, 2015) — Jenne Vanderbout, assistant vice president of alumni and development at the University of Central Missouri, has been elected to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District VI Board of Directors. Her appointment as secretary was confirmed during the District VI Conference, Jan. 11-13, in Denver. She will begin her three-year term July 1.

“This is a tremendous honor for Jenne and for our university,” said Jason Drummond, vice president for alumni relations and development and executive director of the Foundation. “Her accomplishment will help grow UCM’s presence in the advancement area throughout the district and nation.”

Vanderbout has worked at UCM since 2001. Prior to that, she worked in several higher education administrative positions, including Western Oregon University, where she earned her bachelor's degree. She also has a master's degree in student development administration from Seattle University and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Missouri.

Originally from Portland, Ore., she lives with her husband, Doug Harris, in Warrensburg.The couple frequently hosts students through the Rotary Youth Exchange and enjoys traveling.

Her work with CASE District VI started when she volunteered to help with their annual conference. She has coordinated the registration of the past three district conferences, working with CASE to expedite the process by implementing an online system. This year, she also facilitated a roundtable discussion on “Selecting and Implementing a Constituent Relationship Management Solution.”

Founded in 1974, CASE is one of the world's largest nonprofit educational associations. It works with 78,000 professionals at some 3,600 colleges, universities and independent elementary and secondary schools in 77 countries. CASE District VI represents members in eight states:  Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
