Sustainability: Green Resident
The UCM Office of Sustainability’s green room certification is a way for students to be recognized for living a sustainable lifestyle on campus and to empower them to make continued changes. Students can receive individual certification at three separate levels. Students who complete any part of the certification process will receive a sign to display on their room door. The green room certification process will begin in February for residence hall students. Participation will make student eligible to win prizes from the Office of Sustainability.
Level 1: Sustainable Awareness:
Complete the sustainable practice inventory
and commit to making one sustainable change
by filling out the Level One Completion Form
Level 2: Sustainable Learning
Attend an event sponsored by the Office of Sustainability (OOS)
then fill out the Level Two Completion Form
Level 3: Sustainable Action
Volunteer with the OOS
then fill out the Level Three Completion Form
After each level, participants will receive a prize. Also, the floor with the most average points per person by the end of April, will receive an Ice Cream Sundae Bar.
