Dr. Renck grew up on a family farm in Southeast Missouri and attended Arkansas State University where she earned degrees in Agricultural Business and General Agriculture. While earning her Ph.D. at Mississippi State University, she was a graduate research assistant and taught economics courses at Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women. Before joining the department, she was an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University-Commerce and the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station.
Dr. Renck is a member of the American Agricultural Economics Association, the Southern Agricultural Economics Association, the Agricultural History Society, and the International Food & Agribusiness Management Association.
Areas of Interest/Research
Dr. Renck’s research interests include vertical coordination and contracting in commodity markets. Her research program also involves credence good labeling and consumer behavior.
