Mobile Welding Education Program
The Agriculture Department at the University of Central Missouri has partnered with the Lincoln Electric Company to bring some of the newest welding practices to your classroom, both high school and adult programs. The department has the ability to offer a program containing some or all of the following; Precision TIG 225, 350 MP, Python Push-Pull Gun, and Alternative Cutting Fuels (propane). Participants can expect to see demonstrations covering TIG welding (mild steel and aluminum), MIG welding (axial spray transfer, pulse spray, aluminum, and globular transfer), and SMAW. This program utilizes a presentation over saftey, principles of the processes, and a hands-on demonstration.
Mobile Welding Visit Request
The Agricultural Ambassadors are a group of volunteer students selected to represent the department at various functions. The ambassadors visit high schools, alone or with a faculty member, to talk with students about obtaining an agricultural education and to answer their questions about being a student in the Agriculture Department. The ambassadors also represent the department during District Agriculture Contests, the FFA State Convention, and the National FFA Convention.
