Action from the Mules spring game on Saturday, April 26th, at Walton Stadium-Kennedy Field. The controlled scrimmage was the final event of the spring practice schedule. The 2008 season schedule will kick-off on Thursday night, August 28th, with a home game against Minnesota State University at 7 p.m.

Kendall Ricketts (left) and Matt Frankel (right) took part in the annual Valero Cactus Bowl NCAA-II All-Star Game on Friday, January 11th. Ricketts finished with seven tackles in the game, while Frankel averaged 39.6 yards on five punts. Both played for the West squad that fell to the East team 42-13.

UCM Mules football will enjoy seven home games in the 2008 season, including a pair of Thursday night non-conference contests to open the season. Starting times for road games will be announced when finalized:

Mules put a positive finish to the final chapter of their 2007 season Saturday by posting a 31-10 victory over Fort Hays State at Walton Stadium-Kennedy Field. The Mules jumped out to a 17-0 lead and never looked back in picking up the MIAA victory to finish the season with a 6-3 mark in the league and 7-4 overall. 14 seniors were honored prior to the game as part of Senior Day 2007. Head coach Willie Fritz (right) receives a commemorative football from Athletic Director Jerry Hughes during pre-game ceremonies on Homecoming 2007, October 20th. The football documents Coach Fritz 79th career victory as Mules coach on October 6th at Emporia State, becoming the all-time winningest coach in Mules football history.
