Welcome to the Department of Biology and Earth Science at the University of Central Missouri.  The department offers programs leading to either a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts or Master of Science degree. Majors will complete a core of courses that will provide a knowledge base of scientific principles and methodologies. The upper-division courses offer intergration, in-depth study, and an opportunity for specialization within the different degree emphases. Because of the diversity within our program and the wide range of career options, considerable latitude is allowed in selecting upper-division courses for the electives required for the major. Faculty advisors assist students in designing an academic program to prepare them for a specific career objective or postgraduate study.
