Scholarships and Awards
The following is a list of current student scholarships available in the College of Health, Science, and Technology. The contributions to establish these scholarships have come from industry, businesses, alumni, faculty, and friends. We are pleased to provide these opportunities for financial assistance to our students. Each department also provides scholarships for their students from other sources. Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications for the 2013-2014 academic year must be delivered or postmarked by March 1, 2013 to the address printed on the application. Be sure to check below for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.

John Hess Health Professions Scholarship |
- Full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing
- Pursuing a graduate degree in a health profession
- Demonstrate leadership ability
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Participation in social/service organizations and/or extracurricular activities
- Applied to a health professions graduate degree program
- Preference is given to students pursuing a health professions graduate degree in the following areas: Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dental

Reid Hemphill Outstanding Graduate Student Scholarship |
- Full-time graduate student in good academic standing in his/her final year of graduate studies at UCM
- Demonstrate good character, citizenship, leadership and service in University, community and professional organizations
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.75 in all graduate coursework completed
- Demonstrate a high performance in research

Nance Family Scholarship – Chair selection |
- Full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
- Pursuing a degree in physics, chemistry, or mathematics w/preference to teaching professions
- Sophomore, junior or senior standing
- Demonstrate good character, leadership, service, and other good citizenship qualities
- Cumulative GPA of 3.4 in major and 3.2 overall
- Forms can be obtained and submitted to the department office
- Due: March 1 and announced by May
- Award rotates between physics/chemistry/math

Graduate Student Research Recognition Award |
- Graduate or recently graduated graduate student
- Research Project must have been completed during the period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012.
- Submit to Faculty Advisor, one copy of the research project, an electronic version of the abstract (less than 150 words)
- Obtain a one page statement of support from faculty advisor
- Application must be submitted to the College Dean’s office by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013
