Department of Career & Technology Education

Welcome to the Department of Career & Technology Education (CTE). We prepare teachers that will be highly effective at preparing their own students for life and careers.  The Department is a dynamic and diverse unit with 16 full-time faculty and staff in seven distinct program areas, offering degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. These include:

Additionally, we have several other areas that we are known for. This includes Project Lead the Way (PLTW) certification in the Technology Education program, and general education courses including IGEN 3116: Creative Problem Solving, BTE 1210: Essentials of Managing Information, and CTE 2000: Technology and Society.
