Graduate Program
The Department of Career and Technology Education offers the Master of Science in Career and Technical Education Leadership and the Education Specialist in Human Services / Technology and Occupational Education.
The Master of Science in Career and Technical Education Leadership offers three options to meet the needs of career and technical education stakeholders: teaching leadership, administrative leadership, and industry training leadership.
The Education Specialist in Human Services / Technology and Occupational Education provides additional research and leadership experiences for classroom teachers, administrators, and industry training personel. Courses and research opportunities are tailored to the candidate’s career goals and interests in Career and Technical Education, including but not limited to CTE professional teaching certifications and CTE administrative endorsements for certification. This advanced degree also proivdes articulation opportunuties for profesionals considering additional educational coursework above the EdS level, such as doctoral work from institutions that accept credit hours above the master’s level into their institutions.
Missouri Career Education Administrator Certification Endorsement
New administrators in Career and Technical Education may pursue the required certification endorsement for a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Career Education Administration Certificate from the University of Central Missouri through the Department of Career and Technology Education and the Department of Educational Leadership & Human Development.
