Graduate School Scholarships
Graduate School Achievement Award (Deadline: March 1)
All graduate majors. Award is $300 summer, $500 each Fall/Spring. Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate degree awarded before scholarship funded.
- Admitted to The Graduate School.
- 3.5 undergraduate GPA and 3.5 GPA on any graduate work completed; or if undergrad GPA below 3.5, student must have completed 9 hours graduate work with 3.66 GPA.
- Summer recipients must be enrolled in minimum 6 grad hours; Fall/Spring minimum 9 grad hours.
- Full-time graduate assistants are ineligible for the award; part-time GA's are eligible for the award.
Lovinger Graduate Scholarship (Deadline: March 1)
Undergraduate degree from UCM, all graduate majors. Estimated award $1,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Received undergraduate degree from UCM, with minimum 60 hours completed at UCM.
- 3.75 minimum graduate GPA
Non-Resident Graduate Scholarship (Deadline:Continuous)
Undergraduate degree from UCM, all graduate majors. Eligibility Criteria:
- Received undergraduate degree from UCM, with minimum 60 hours completed at UCM.
- 3.0 minimum GPA.
President's Diversity Scholarship (Deadline: March 1)
All graduate majors. Award includes a graduate assistantship. Eligibility Criteria:
- Award of a Graduate Assistantship which includes a stipend of $7,500 plus a scholarship covering up to 10 graduate credit hours per semester.
- 2.50 minimum undergrad GPA or 3.0 graduate GPA in at least 9 hours.
Reid Hemphill Outstanding Graduate Student (Deadline: March 1)
Nominated by graduate advisor. Estimated award $1,000. Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate student in good standing at UCM and in their final year of studies.
- 3.75 minimum graduate GPA.
Foundation Scholarships
David Cogswell Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: April 1/Nov. 1)
Disabled graduate students. Eligibility Criteria:
- Student with a disability.
- 2.0 minimum GPA.
Edwards Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: March 1)
All graduate majors.
Kempfer Scholarship (Deadline: March 1)
International graduate students with Teacher Education major. Eligibility Criteria:
- Be an international student and citizen of a Central American country (secondary preference is an international student who is a citizen of a Latin American country).
• 3.1 minimum GPA in major.
Ranson Scholarship in Reading (Deadline: March 1)
Undergraduate degree from UCM.
William G. and Margaret Douglas Talley Scholarship (Deadline: March 1)
High School graduates of Johnson or Henry County, MO. Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate of a high school in Johnson or Henry Counties in Missouri.
Wake Island Defenders Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: March 1)
Descendent of Wake Island Defenders, UCM ROTC, or History graduate majors
Eligibility Criteria:
- Preference to descendents of Wake Island Defenders,
UCM ROTC, or History major.
