Center for Teaching and Learning
The Center for Teaching and Learning’s (CTL) role of promoting academic excellence at UCM is achieved through several avenues of support. The CTL offers many new development opportunities for faculty and administrators geared toward pedagogical advancement and educational innovation, as well as needed information and training on policies and regulations that affect them on a daily basis.
The CTL works to promote the scholarship of teaching and learning at UCM through activities such as Faculty Research Day each year, in which UCM faculty can be recognized for their achievements and research within their various disciplines.
In addition, the range of grant opportunities available to faculty through CTL are numerous. Faculty have the opportunity to apply for funding for things such as travel to conferences, new multimedia equipment for classrooms, release time for research projects, and development of online courses, to name a few. A complete list of CTL grant forms can be found at www.ucmo.edu/ctl/funding/.
The Center for Teaching and Learning can help faculty integrate sound teaching practices with the most current instructional professional technology. The CTL office is located in ADM 304 Fand can be reached by calling Melissa Wilson at 660-543-8528 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
