Speakers Series Application
Recognizing that discipline specific professional development is necessary to support Central Missouri's faculty, a limited amount of funding has been dedicated to assist academic departments in bringing speakers to campus to present such discipline specific professional development. Funding of $600 per application will be allowed to fund fees and/or travel expenses for off-campus speakers to travel to Warrensburg.
These professional development presentations must help meet departmental development goals or otherwise support the university mission and be open to all faculty who may be interested in the subject matter. Priority will also be given to those presentations that have at least a portion of the session open to Central Missouri students or to the general public. In addition to the funding award, the Center for Teaching and Learning will assist in registering participants and will include the speaker in other development notices sent to faculty.
The CTL will fund one speaker each month during the months of September, October, November, February, March and April. Applications must be received by the first day of the month previous to the presentation and if multiple applications are received for a particular month, the applications will be evaluated and only one will be funded.
